Kale and Fennel Chutney

Indulge in the rich and diverse flavors of our six-taste chutney, perfect to accompany any meal. This chutney is a blend of sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent, and astringent tastes, making it a unique and delicious addition to your plate.

I recently paid a visit to the Farmer's Market in Wimbledon Park where I was on the hunt for some high-quality raw honey for a project with a friend. While there, I couldn't resist picking up some fresh fennel and a fantastic LACITANO KALE. Despite the chilly winter weather, I decided to whip up a kale pesto to go with rice, pasta, sautéed veggies, salads, or even a sandwich. And let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious!


  • 120g of chopped curly kale (or 2 cups)

  • 60g of chopped fresh fennel (or 1/2)

  • 40g pine nuts

  • 6g mint

  • Rock salt and black pepper to taste

  • 1/2 or 1 lime or lemon

  • Olive oil


To make this flavourful pesto, simply toss all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. Don't forget to adjust the seasoning to your liking. Trust me, this pesto is a game-changer and will take your meals to the next level.
