Introducing the ultimate digestive aid: Ginger Water!

This simple yet effective remedy is incredibly easy to prepare and offers numerous benefits for our digestion. Whether enjoyed warm or at room temperature, it's a versatile drink that can be enjoyed by all.


Room temperature ginger water is particularly beneficial for children, especially when they're experiencing symptoms like a cold, indigestion, tummy ache, or a cough. It provides a gentle and soothing solution when we're unsure of what to give them. Here's how you can make it:


Ingredients:

1litre boiling water

3cm Fresh ginger

½ lime or lemon (optional)

Good quality honey to taste (make sure it's of good quality!)


Method:

1. Peel and grate approximately 3 cm of fresh ginger and squeeze the juice of ½ lime or lemon (optional) into a jar.

2. Pour the boiling water into the jar.

3. Allow the mixture to cool down to room temperature before adding honey. It's important to add honey only when the water has cooled.


Encourage your kids to sip on this ginger water throughout the day. It's a healthier alternative to drinking solely cold water, as the properties of ginger and honey work together to eliminate toxins from the body and improve digestion by enhancing the agni, which is responsible for breaking down everything we eat.


Tip: If your child finds the ginger water too spicy, simply dilute it with some additional water.
