Ginger water for all

So easy to prepare and so helpful to restore our DIGESTION. It can be drunk warm or at room temperature.

Room temperature ginger water is an excellent option for children when they have a cold, indigestion, tummy ache (and we are not sure what to give them) or a cough for instance. Here is how to do it:


Ingredients:

1litre boiling water

3cm Fresh ginger

½ lime or lemon (optional)

Good quality honey to taste (it should be good quality!)


Method:

1. Peel and grate ginger (about 3 cm) and squeeze ½ lemon (optional) in a jar

2. Pour boiling water

3. Let it cool down and add honey ONLY when it’s at room temperature


Ask your kids to sip it throughout the day. It’s better than drinking only cold water as the ginger and honey properties will scrape toxins out the body and will help improve the impaired agni, (the one responsible of digesting everything we eat).


TIP: if your kid tells you it's spicy, just add some more water.
