Seeds benefits

Seeds are a delicious and nutritious addition to any diet, and according to Ayurvedic nutrition, they have a sweet taste that is strengthening, nurturing, and nourishing.

However, the amount and type of seeds you consume should depend on your constitution and any imbalances you may have.

To benefit digestion and improve assimilation, Ayurveda recommends using the "agni samskara" method, which involves applying heat or fire to the seeds before consuming them. One easy way to do this is by dry roasting them, especially the larger seeds like pumpkin or sunflower seeds.

To dry roast seeds, simply heat them over medium heat for about 2 minutes, stirring continuously. Add any other seeds you like, such as brown and black sesame seeds, and continue stirring until the smaller seeds start to pop.

You can store your roasted seeds in a jar and use them in salads or muesli, or simply enjoy them as a snack. Encourage your loved ones to try this method and make their own seed mixtures to enjoy the many benefits of these nutrient-packed foods.
